Some people say that chocolate is better than sex, and at last I can appreciate why. Recently my elder daughter spent some days in Zurich where she purchased some very expensive chocolates. A praline selection box costing twenty-six pounds (for thriry-six chocolates) has come my way. Oh my, how very delightfully tasty they are. They are almost as good as the truffles costing one pound each that I had a sample of at her house. Actually, that is an understatement - those truffles are orgasmically delicious. But better than sex? Not quite - there is nothing better than sex - however they do come a very close second.

Not better than GOOD sex, maybe.
But how about bad or mediocre sex?
Granted, when it's wonderful it's wonderful. But few things are more over-rated than average, everyday sex-for-the-sake-of-it.
Unless you're 17, I suppose.

I suppose I was just thinking of my own sexual experiences. Considering that not everyone is so fortunate, then good chocolate must be better than bad sex.

It's strange to think that I used to think that sex was great for everyone. I'm really sorry it isn't.

Maybe my expectations are too high.
but surely, it can't be THAT wonderful every time, for everybody but me?

I'm sure there are other things better than sex (and chocolates).
Damnation! What was it now?
Money?
Yes! I think it's money!
I'd take the money any old day.

Money - are you sure? Well, not in my experience, although as Husbandorcat points out above, I suppose they're better than bad or indifferent sex.

I reserve me rights and I've changed me mind. Sex is good when it's good. When it's middling it's satisfactory. When it's not what one wants to do at that particular point in time it's either - a nuisance, an imposition, boring, or pecularly bland (for such an intimate pyhsical action).
Money should be listed after good sex but before middling sex, etc, etc.
The reason I changed me mind is that I've noticed money isn't all I thought it was. I should have remembered that!

So, which is better, sex or chocolate?
Why does everyone assume it has to be either/or?

Which is better? My personal preference would still be sex, but my those chocolates were good.
Good question, why should one be better than the other? Especially when we can have both.
Except when we can't, of course.
