I like the paintings of Jack Vettriano - or rather I like some of them - the erotic ones. When in Edinburgh recently, I went into a shop displaying some of his work in the window. I was hoping to get a copy of "Game On", which is my favourite, but no such luck. It was a limited edition and now sells for thousands. I vacillated over it when it was available for £500, so I'm not going to pay thousands. For one thing I can't afford to. My daughter and myself got chatting to the girl behind the counter and it turned out that she and her boyfriend were the models for that painting (and for several others). I'm not usually impressed by celebrity (I even declined to have my photo taken with Leonard Cohen!) but in a strange way it was quite a thrill to talk to this young woman. In fact it was an unexpected delight.

Looks like neither you nor I will have that picture on our walls, although for very different reasons.
I know I should be able to and at another time I doubtless would, but at the moment my head is too full of stuff and I'm too tired to work it out, so please do tell me.-

It is the intrusive 'myself' - something I see more and more these days. I know it's very bad form to point out errors in other people's grammar but I can't help myself. Sorry.

Don't worry. I have no problem with you (or anyone else) pointing you errors. A careless mistake and I should have spotted it.

I liked the paintings I've seen by him, the clothes always seem stylish.
I'm also going to buy a limited edition print by an artist I like, she's good but not renown. Her prints go for £25-£65, more my range. I've posted about her a couple or so blogs ago. Annabel Greenhalgh.-

For some reason he seems to like to set his paintings in the past.
I'll have a look at what you've posted on Annabel Greenhalgh.-

Yes, the fashions are stylish but from the past.
Yes do, I think she's really talented.

Goodness me. As a man with a practically all-consuming passion for stockings, I wouldn't dare to have this picture on my wall since it would leave me permanently priapic.
In an unrelated matter, you have in the above committed one of my top three 'red rag to a bull' solecisms. Do you want to work it out, or shall I tell you?
